Colour Sample Box 65 pcs

See it first, then paint — that's what the colour sample box is for. It contains all 65 re-box shades as handy samples, so you can lay them side by side at home: in your light, on your wall, next to your sofa. On a screen, the display decides the colour; in your living room, you decide.

What's in the box

The contents are quickly told, because the box has exactly one job:

• 65 colour samples — every re-box shade once, from the lightest white to the deepest dark tones
• each sample with name and number, so you never mix anything up when ordering
• a format you can hold against the wall, stand on the windowsill or carry in your bag

What else you need, you already have at home: a bit of tape or adhesive putty, a white sheet of paper as a neutral background, and a few days of patience. How to really test a shade

1. Make a preselection

Don't bring all 65 samples into the room — take five at most. Too many shades side by side make each one look indecisive. Sort first: one direction, three to five nuances.

2. Bring the samples to the right spot

Hang the samples where the colour will actually be later — not on the table. A wall facing the window behaves completely differently from the wall the window is in. Stick the samples up next to each other with a little space between them.

3. Look at three times of day

Check in the morning, in the afternoon and in the evening under artificial light. A grey with a warm undertone can quickly tip into beige under LED light, while a cool blue can turn almost black in the evening. Only this triad shows you what you'll actually be looking at all year round.

4. Hold it against what's already there

Place the sample next to the floor, the door leaf, the sofa and the curtain. Colour never stands alone in a room — it always stands next to something. What works next to oak can fall apart next to grey screed.

5. Narrow it down to two shades

Take everything away except two samples and let them hang for two days. In that time, you'll notice which shade makes you happy in the morning and which one bothers you. The rest is a decision, not a comparison.

6. Determine the quantity and order

What the sample tells you about matt and satin-matt — and what it doesn't

A sample shows you the shade, not the finish. So you make two separate decisions. Matt looks deeper and calmer, absorbs light and makes a wall look less prominent than it is — the right choice for living rooms, bedrooms and any ceiling. Satin-matt adds a slight sheen, is more hard-wearing and easier to clean, which matters in hallways, kitchens and children's rooms. From sample to the right container size

Once the shade is settled, it's time to calculate. One litre of wall paint covers approx. 6–8 m² per coat, and coloured shades need two coats:

• 2.5 L — approx. 8–10 m² with two coats, so an accent wall
• 5 L — approx. 15–20 m² with two coats, so a small room or two walls
• 10 L — approx. 30–40 m² with two coats, so a living room with all four walls

Where colour tests go wrong

• Only checked in daylight. The shade you see under your lamp in the evening is the one you'll be living with. Always check both situations.
• The sample placed on the white table. White underneath pulls every shade darker. Hold the sample against the wall it will later be on.
• Too many candidates at once. Once you have five or more samples side by side, you lose your feel for the differences. Narrowing down is half the test.
• Decided too quickly. The first impression often shifts after a day. Let your favourites hang instead of ordering right away.

Frequently asked questions about the colour sample box

How many shades are in the box?
The box contains all 65 re-box shades as samples. This covers the whole colour range, so you don't have to commit to one family in advance. Each sample is labelled with its name and number.

Does a sample also apply to the lacquer?
Yes, all 65 shade names are available as both wall paint and lacquer. The colour is the same, but the finish isn't: the lacquer has a silky sheen, which makes it look slightly clearer. That's the right choice for furniture and wood.

Can I return the sample box?
Only individually mixed paints are excluded from the right of withdrawal — the sample box is not a mixed paint. What applies to your specific order is explained on Returns. Unmixed, separately labelled white goods can also be returned in their original packaging.

How long does delivery of the box take?
Delivery takes 3–5 working days from receipt of payment. Shipping is by parcel within Germany. So plan your colour test about a week before your painting weekend.

Do I need the box if I already know what I want?
Not necessarily — but mixed paint can't be exchanged, while a sample only costs you a few days. If you're torn between two shades from the same family, testing first usually saves you more than the box costs.

What should I especially watch for with dark shades?
Dark shades need more light and more distance to work their effect. So hang the sample not just on the brightest wall, but also in the darkest corner of the room. That way you'll see where the shade holds up and where it closes the space in.
